We are seeking an exceptional Creative Leader to adapt long-form fiction into serialized audio-first scripts, specifically tailored for the German audience. This role demands a unique blend of creative storytelling prowess and sharp editorial instincts. You will be instrumental in transforming international source material into culturally resonant stories that deeply connect with local sensibilities, all while preserving the core narrative essence. This leadership position requires profound expertise and creative direction within the Crime genre, coupled with a keen understanding of audience expectations and storytelling nuances.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Build and curate an entire portfolio of Crime content, ensuring the selection and development of best-in-class shows that embody popular tropes and themes.
* Develop and oversee the production of original scripted series, guiding them from initial pitch through ongoing production stages.
* Provide expert notes and feedback on outlines, scripts, and ongoing series, while leading and mentoring a team of creative leads and writers.
* Generate innovative show ideas and concepts, identify talented writers to execute them, and ensure timely delivery of ongoing series scripts.
* Collaborate strategically with other departments to identify promising ideas based on market testing and evaluate the performance of ongoing series.
* Drive talent acquisition and nurturing within your vertical, fostering growth, training teams, and cascading best practices.
* Maintain a high-volume editorial pipeline, ensuring efficient throughput with robust planning checks and balances.
* Embrace and integrate AI-powered tools, learning and cascading their use to elevate both the quantity and quality of creative output.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

* 15+ years of extensive experience in fiction and editorial roles.
* Proven track record as a founder or in leadership positions within corporate environments.
* Deep creative expertise and editorial leadership specifically within the Crime genre, with a focus on shaping audio-first narratives for the German audience.
* Expert understanding of the local German cultural context.
* Prior experience managing large creative or editorial teams.
* Superior editorial instincts and demonstrated ability to conduct effective writer rooms, with a clear understanding of what makes a story work in a long-format series, and the ability to plan and execute this seamlessly.
* Native German language proficiency and conversational English.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong preference for experience adapting long-form narratives (such as web novels, self-published books, or comics) into serialized drama.
* Excitement for working with and leveraging tech-enabled tools to enhance creative processes.
